Walls

Precast concrete wall slabs mostly are used in the structures of multi-storey residential houses, hotels or other similar structures. Load bearing walls are used in combination with floor slabs of hollow core slabs. Also they are used for partitioning structures and lift and stairway wells. The greater dimensions of wall elements, the more economical is the project, and the greater is construction productivity. Lifting facility and transport facility capacities can influence restrictions in wall production.

Precast concrete walls are manufactured in the stand-type or battery-type moulds. The mould-side surfaces of production items are smooth, while the top surfaces are levelled and trowelled.  Prior to painting or wallpapering, a minimal conditioning of surfaces is necessary. Service ducts or embedded parts are installed when moulding a production item.

There are two types of wall slabs: three-layer and two-layer slabs. Mostly slabs are of one storey height, while the widths of the structure will be designed to the wish of the customer.

Betonika UAB can manufacture external wall constructions from texture concrete. The texture concrete notion is linked to precast concrete elements, by which efforts are made to obtain an architectural effect on the facades, utilizing finish, variety of shapes, colours and texture, and production quality as well. Manufacturers of precast concrete offer extremely wide range of external finishing variants. Although the main material is concrete, the elements should not necessarily look like those made of concrete.

Wall elements of the buildings can be provided with masonry, polished marble or granite appearance. If the architect wishes to have a concrete appearance, the elements can be produced choosing various finish options from lots of profiles and texture variants, highlighting the beauty of natural fillers used to manufacture the elements.
